Project Lead Electrical Engineer

Qualifications:  

  • Consulting experience with Institutional projects a must. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience using AutoCAD MEP, Revit, SKM Power Tools, short circuit calculations, overcurrent coordination, and/or arc flash analysis, protective devce coordination, and photometric studies.
  • Registered Professional Engineer a plus.
  • Solid working knowledge of the National Electrical Code, T24, NFPA standards and requirements.
  • Willingness and desire to mentor junior/staff electrical engineers
  • Excellent customer/client service skills.
  • Excellent, clear and concise, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams effectively to complete projects on time and on budget.

 

Responsibilities:

• Development of project management skills including support in managing budgets and delivery schedules for each assignment; for project/task scope schedule and budget. • Electrical design and coordination of various projects with an emphasis on power distribution, lighting, communications, fire alarm systems, and control systems for new projects. • Establishing design criteria, performing design calculations, developing one- line diagrams, control schematics, plans and specifications. • Performing engineering services during construction, including reviewing equipment submittals, shop drawings and responding to contractor RFI's.• Conducting field inspections, assisting projects in construction which includes identifying deviations from design, and monitoring safety compliance • Performing system analysis using ETAP, SKM Power Tools or other power systems analysis software.

Electrical Designer

Qualifications/Responsibilites

  • The successful candidate shall have a professional training and project experience with Revit with a focus on electrical design.  
  • Communications with clients, contractors, architects, owners, manufacturer’s representatives, and other multi-discipline team members. 
  • Provide and coordinate project workflow:  Revit Model initial setup, copy/monitoring, managing library of Revit families, linking and updating linked files, electrical component layouts (utilizing Revit families) and input of Revit families and electrical data.
  • Participate in on-site field verification of existing or new installations, review of RFI, shop drawing submittals, and preparation of field reports. 
  • Provide electrical construction modeling detailing means and ways for the construction systems.
  • Participate in an ongoing BIM Coordination process, clash detection reviews, and corresponding resolution model and project documentation updates.

Electrical Engineering Intern

Qualifications/Responsibilities:

  • This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering major to gain experience in electrical engineering field.  
  • This internship can lead to a full time position.  
  • Candidate will participate as a team member in the technical development of schematic design, design development, construction documents specifications and construction administration of building projects. 
  • Candidate Must: 
    • have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • have good work ethics.
    • Revit knowledge is a plus.
    • Previous experience with engineering design is a plus.
